Changes in key outcomes for Norwegian high school students participating in the universal mental health promotion program Venn1

Venn1 is a universal school-based socioemotional learning program developed by Mental Helse that is administered adolescents in both lower and upper secondary schools and has been in use since 2006. We are collaborating with Mental Helse to investigate the effects of the Venn1 program on key desired outcomes.

The main objectives of our feasibility study are threefold:

  1. to assess the implementation success of the current Venn1 intervention,
  2. to preliminarily assess outcomes of Venn1 using a pre-post study design, and
  3. assess the feasibility and quality of the study design for later evaluation research, following the guidelines developed by the UK Medical Research Council.

Peder Isager, Camilla Lindvall Dahlgren and Heidi Bjøntegaard from ONUC is working on this project together with Mental Helse.
